Hi Georgie!
Nice to see you here, and thanks so much for sharing your experience! You've made some really great points too - especially the one about seeing the "silver lining" when something fabulous sells for less than desired. A very positive perspective and attitude!
Oh and I especially love the point you made about time management and keeping the important things taken care of first. Family, friends, relationships, etc. So true!
As for what *we* think is superb, vs another bead *we* think rather more ordinary....and having the ordinary sell better.....it just goes to show that you just never know sometimes doesn't it?
Whatever makes the customer happy I say!
I'd like to share something similar that happened to me recently. A woman contacted me, practically frantic about getting a bead she saw on my website. She emailed like 4 times within an hour and then gave up and rang me. To me the bead was "ok"....but not particularly spectacular. To her, it was the embodiment of an image she saw consistently when she meditated and it validated something very profound for her.
It was a very humbling experience to hear her story of how she came to find/choose it, and the deep thrill of joy and "rightness" (her words) when she held it in her hands for the first time. Makes me think twice before judging the appeal of my beads!

Oh Gayetha, I saw Murf's post too! Isn't that an incredible collection?!?! OMG, just to be able to fondle and look at that much in one spot.....
